Swannanoa and St. Joseph’s Schools use Mathletics as a resource to enrich the learning experiences for students in maths. Teachers can effectively manage student learning and progress, tailor assigned work to the individual needs of the student and receive automatically marked and analysed results. Students love the competitive nature of Mathletics, they are motivated, having fun and learning at the same time. High achieving students can extend themselves with more challenging problems and less able students can revisit concepts taught in class through the support centre in each activity. They get instant feedback and can easily adjust activities to make them easier or harder. As it is web-based parents can be actively engaged with their children’s learning and can receive weekly emails highlighting their progress.
